About D. J. Samant College

We are delighted to welcome you all to D J Samant Senior College of Arts, Commerce and Science Pali, Ratnagiri. On 10 May 2001 under Shri Sai Anirudh Education Society. D J Samant English Medium School was established, and education was set in motion. Subsequently, a college for higher education and an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) were established from 8 September 2009. The said college is affiliated with Mumbai University. This college stands prominently in a grand structure adjacent to the Mumbai Goa National Highway. D J Samant Senior College of Arts Commerce and Science Pali Ratnagiri.

The college is providing higher education opportunities to the underprivileged students from the remote areas of the surrounding area. The college, which started with 50 students, till date thousands of students have taken this opportunity of higher education and has made the name of the college bright by leaving its mark of success in various sectors such as government semi-government.
The college has a rich library with various reference books on Arts, Commerce and Science. Our students of the District University are performing well in various academic, sports and cultural fields at the departmental level. The college has a well-equipped and spacious computer room.

The experienced faculty members of the college are primarily committed to brighten the future of the students. The college strives to make today’s student knowledgeable rather than exam oriented so that he becomes a future informed citizen of the country. The college is cultivating its commitment to society through various departments like National Service Scheme (NSS), Department of Lifelong Learning Extension (DLLE), Competitive Examination Department, Women Development Cell etc. We consider it our pleasure and commitment to assist in the development of every element that promotes the progress of the college of such an institution.

A quality and well-educated person has a great impact on social progress. A society is advanced not by tall buildings or luxury cars running on the streets but by the intellectual stature of the society. How the education provided by this college will make the students socially oriented. It has been emphasized that there will be all-round development. The college will always strive to build the credit of the student who has studied from the college so that he can stand on his own feet. As the principal, I take the assurance that there will be no compromise in the numerical and qualitative quality of the current situation when the number of students is increasing. In terms of education, there is no doubt that the college has made great strides in a very short period of time. Today’s college is satisfying as the students who have studied from my college are working in various fields. To bring this knowledge to the homes and to bring the children deprived of education into the stream of education, as the saying goes, the Instutation, faculty and office staff of the college are filled with pride. Seeing that the graph of the progress of this college is constantly rising, it is seen that the institution we have built is becoming a success.
